What can I say?

I update our family blog once a month.

This one is getting less attention.

I have 700 pictures in the family blog.  In six months.

I just made my first MyPublisher Photobook.

Incredible.

I did lay flat pages.

I did super gloss pictures.

It was our wedding album.

I had the film scanned for digital files about three years ago.

It is 97 pages.  (max is 100)

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM taking loads of pictures and sharing them with family.

I should re-name this blog....365YEARS.....

I have been shooting on manual mode for months now.  I wish I could say I ONLY shoot on manual mode!

I couldn't use a flash.  I took one shot on auto to see what settings the camera recommended.  I spent the rest of the show taking low-light pictures.  I am pleased because I am gaining in confidence. 

I didn't make time over Thanksgiving to read my camera maual.  It's going to happen over Christmas break though since my mama will be here to help with my kiddos!

(and she was a professional photographer, so she understands THIS obsession!

As you can see from the two pictures above, I don't have a handle on manual mode in darker rooms.  I'm ready to read some books.

I am getting better at saving with coupons though!  This was a 50% savings! Plenty of healthy food in there.  And what's not healthy is either for Thanksgiving for donation or for taking to Bible study (rolls)!  They go with my healthy egg dish! ;)

 

Still life (the dead stuff is trashed) is easier to photograph than children

This 365 day project might be a bit ambitious for me given that I have fun things to do like clean out the frig.  I feel like I just did this!  (And I DID!)  I took everything out and cleaned it all.  The drawers were sticky.  :(

I'm trying to get us out of vacation debt, so I'm trying very hard to make sure we eat all the food we have in the feezer. 

After lunch today, most of this food was gone.  Hubby said the salad I made was restaurant style.  :)

Do you think I posted this just because I feel bad that my last post showed a BIG MESS?!

Thursday....and why I won't post every day.

What happens when you just throw things into a room instead of putting them away?

On the upside, the rest of my home is clean and organized!

No, REALLY!
It actually is, but this room can take some credit for that.  When I/we were done organizing another room but had a TINY bit left to put away, we quit and put it here instead.  :)

We'd like our child to sleep in this room again instead of with a sibling, so it's time to clean it.

This was yesterday.  There has been improvement.

I shot this on manual mode.  I think it came out pretty clear.  LAUGH.OUT.LOUD.

Day 1 (ish) Sun and Tuesday

Colorado has a bad rep/rap.  The fall colors are beautiful here!  While it's not the same as other parts of the country, I am still enjoying it immensely!  

I have owned a DSLR for 18 months.  I've used it on automatic for 18 months.  That is a changin'!  I went to a photography class on Sunday.  Simply changing the f stop or the iso or ?  I already forgot the name....makes a HUGE difference in my photos!

I purchased the manual for my camera when I bought it (because a $700 camera doesn't come with a manual anymore?!).  I looked at it once, but NONE of it made any sense to me!

NOW IT WILL!  I cannot wait to read it and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

My sister suggested a 365 project.  I'd like to earn some money from photography, so I am going to take this seriously!  We'll see how much progress I can make it a year!

I had fun trying to get a blurry background and still have the moving ca be in focus. This is a good skill to have with children around!

I took all these pictures in the same spot.  I just changed the f stop, etc. to change how the picture looks!  Wish I had learned this LONG AGO! 

 

 

 

 

 

The winds are blowing 50 mph out there, so I may not be able to take more fall pictures tomorrow.  I wish I had taken some with my children before these winds arrived!
